This is a limited edition of 50 reproductions of Blue Whale Heart, printed on cotton paper and hand-embroidered with cotton threads.
You can choose this piece in two different sizes:
Large Size: 50 cm × 70 cm.
Medium Size: 41 cm x 51 cm.

I tried a new approach with this, it looks like an abstract piece but actually is a Blue whale heart at full scale. When I was painting it I felt so small and overwhelmed. It's as big as me. It is amazing to think of the creatures living with us on this earth. The ocean has always represented a space of unknowing, mysterious but full of life. This is a tiny, huge piece of it.
 
The work was inspired by the songs of the blue whale, a reinterpretation of their deep, resonant calls. The heart of a blue whale measures about 1.5 meters wide and 1.2 meters tall, making it the largest heart on Earth. It belongs to a creature that has survived extinction, a living dinosaur that still swims among us.
